Being a Humanitarian means helping people who are suffering or in need of help any time, any place or any where. Humanitarian work requires being responsible, conscious of the circumstances of other people’s lives, and helping them on the basis of need without discrimination. Humanity means that human suffering must be addressed wherever it is found, with particular attention to the most vulnerable.

Who Are We

Cactus Cupboard is a private, non-profit organization established in 2021 as a basic necessities outreach program covering the area of Ajo/Why down to Lukeville, Arizona and out to the Western Villages of the Tohono O’odham Nation. We address the greatest needs of our community and partner with other organizations who help with this mission.

Our main aim is to find those who need the most help with goods, service and resources. We ask our community members and those who deal in, and with, our community to help us help others.

If you see someone who could benefit from a bag of groceries, some toiletries, help with transport, clothing or just someone who could sit and chat with them over a cup of tea, to please inform us either through email, phone or our facebook page and we’ll take care of them. 

We survive on donations of food, clothing, toiletries and other basic necessities..
